Hey guys, welcome back to my blog for the final year project. It feels like forever since I did my last one. Well, this is because I went away for a week and couldn't give you guys some updates. But today I seriously am so I hope you guys enjoy this blog.
So today I will be talking about a bit of UIs and Menus that I have recently created and I will be showing you guys them. Just keep in mind that these are not final and will be improved in the future. First I would like to talk about the UIs that you would see during the match. The screenshot is below.

As you can see, P1: and P2: represents whatever the player that you controlling, it will show the stats during the match by showing "numbers". The one next to P1: or P2: represents the per cent damage. When any of the players get hit, the per cent damage will increase by a certain amount and the higher per cent damage, the far the knockback that will be after it gets hit. Now the number below the players represents the lives that each of the players has. If any of the players are out of the stage zone, the number of lives will decrease by one. But if any of the players reach 0, will lose the game and the player still standing will win the game. Also, all of these were inspired by Super Smash Bros and I left a screenshot below so you can compare them and see what approach I trying to achieve for this project.

Now let's talk about the menu screen that I have recently created. The screenshot is below to see. And like I said before, this is not final the version. Think of this as a beta version of the menu screen.

There are 6 buttons that you could select: single player, multiplayer, online, gallery, options, and back to the title screen. I'm not going into the details for each of them just yet (maybe except for one) and saving that for another blog, but I would say that I have been working on the two features which are the gallery and options which I will save again for another blog. I am going the colour background mainly from the particle effect colour I showed you guys last blog. Then I thought black goes well with a yellow-orange colour and it also reminds me of a song I used to listen to when I was younger. However, I hope if I get to work on the menu more, I want the menu screen to look something like or close to Super Smash Bros Brawl's menu.

One last thing I would last to show you is the title screen for this project.

There's nothing much to explain here but it's quite obvious what happens if you select one of the buttons here. Like if you select the start button, you will start the game and if you select the quit button, you will quit the game.
That's all I want to show for now. I hope you enjoy this blog and stay tuned for more in the future.
