Hello guys and welcome back to my blog. In this blog, I will talk about the overview of the character designs, mostly why I picked those characters for this project.
As some might know, I got those character designs from a site called Maximo. A site that helped me to download models and use them for personal use such as for this project. Also, they have a bunch of animations that can be used for the models that would be installed into the engine such as running and jumping. So I would like to say thank you to Maximo. This project wouldn't be possible without you.
Now the ones I have chosen...
Kyle
This is Kyle! He seems like a normal guy, doesn't he? He even carries a backpack on his back. Kyle is supposed to be a type of character with a balance movement. He's much pretty a character that beginners will be able to pick up and master easily.
Rex
This is Rex! A new type of species maybe? I want this type of character to be some sort of a joke character and will have a funny moveset. Like in Super Smash Bros, they have a character called Jigglypuff (from Pokemon) which pretty much portrays that.
Robin
This is Robin! Is she holding a bow? This is because that Robin is able to shoot some powerful arrows. Therefore this is the type of character who is heavily focused on spamming projectiles and certain characters in Super Smash Bros focus on this type of moveset such as Ness (from Earthbound).
??? (Reveal Time)
This is Lloyd! It's about time that I reveal the final character for this project. Is he holding a sword and a shield? This is because some character in Super Smash Bros such as Link (from The Legend of Zelda) wields a weapon and they are known as the weapon-users or wield-users (the same thing right?). Lloyd will have a moveset that will heavily focus on his sword and... yeah it's powerful.
I think this is all I got for now for this blog. Hopefully soon, I will do a playtest as I want some feedback so I can improve on this project and be the best it can do. Stay tuned for more blogs.
